Sketchbook DamnStraight's Sketchbook June,2012

I'm 27 and I've been an on and off sketcher with months, but mostly years in between. I have a lot of different interests so I haven't been focused on one particular skill set. Sort of heading down the jack of all trades, master of none road. I never went to college or taken an art class beyond high school.

I just have a strong love for illustration and design. Like, I get the urge to buy books and cds, even though I don't care for the content, I want the covers so badly.

I've realized that out of all my pursuits, I am most satisfied with visual arts. I just want to buckle down, draw my ass off and hopefully make a career out of it.

I've read at least a 100 hundred threads on CA. I have an idea of what I need to do to get good. I'm considering this a reboot. I'm going to clear my mind, unlearn everything, and start at the fundamentals.

This sketchbook will be mostly life drawing and I'll sprinkle in some stuff from my imagination.

To start, I will post drawings I drew last week, mostly from my imagination with some photo reference, to show my current abilities. After that, it will be life drawing.
