So most of the stuff I have been doing lately has only been work that I've worked on from anywhere from 5 mins to about 4 hours. To challenge and push myself I decided to work on a more finish piece. I spent maybe 7+ hours on this one. I worked from a photograph which I also included for comparison purposes. I was excited about it when I first finished it but after looking at it more and more I find myself being very disappointed. I see a lot of proportional problems and I think I could have gone darker with some of the values. Non the less I'd love to hear what you have to say about it. Any suggestions? I'm still trying to figure this thing called shading out. Perhaps I should continue to leave the photographs alone? Thanks!
EDIT: The actual work looks a little darker..more defined than my scanner uploaded it as. I don't really know how to fix that though. I could take a picture of it though. That image my look closer to the original one than the scanned version.
